Erin Schryer, PhD. is the owner and head of school at Origins Academy. Erin holds a Masters of Education in Curriculum and completed a research-based PhD program investigating how the brain learns to read and importantly, the instructional strategies necessary for all children to become successful readers and writers.

Erin also owns and operates early learning programs for infants and preschoolers at Origins Natural Learning Childcare and The Woods, extending her education work creating high-quality early learning programs that value and embrace child development and the needs of young children for optimal health and learning.

Born in Saint John and raised in Quispamsis, Erin lives with her young family not far from her parents and her brother’s family today in the Kennebecasis Valley. She is humbled and takes great pride in the responsibility and opportunity she is provided by families in her community to play a role in their children’s early learning, schooling and care.
